Buca di Beppo Family Style!!!
Food, Fun, and Family!
After World War II a huge wave of immigrants
from Southern Italy were welcomed with open arms into The
United States. These families brought a traditional Italian
way of cooking – Family Style!
Summer 1993, the first Buca di Beppo opened
in a Minneapolis basement. Their pizzas were as big as bathmats
and their pastas and salads that could feed a soccer team.
The family style atmosphere and proportions
are what attracts patrons to this neighborhood restaurant.
Sharing is the key to successful eating, and Buca di Beppo
has clearly mastered that skill. Guests can feast on huge
platters of delicious immigrant, Southern Italian cooking.
Many have called Buca di Beppo as “la
cucina povera” (the kitchen of the poor). This special
element is what gives Buca that distinctive flavor in their
traditional cuisine, as well as the homestyle feeling in their
restaurants.
Buca’s menu consists of a variety of
dishes that are aimed to please any taste bud, from the appetizers
and salads, to the pastas and desserts. Keep in mind that
all of these dishes are fit for at least four people. But,
for parties of two or three, Buca di Beppo has created smaller
entrees to fit smaller parties, listed in their menu as Buca
Due.
As for the wine, Buca di Beppo is an expert
in that field as well. All restaurant locations have a general
wine list, which consists of white wine, red wine, blush wine
and sparkling wine. Along with a vast selection of wine, they
also have a full bar.
So if you’re in the mood to have a great
time and combine it with great food, Buca di Beppo should
be your first stop.
